My P & S camera
My p & s camera, Nikon Coolpix S1, still takes bloody good pictures. Its only 5.1 mp and is very sharp. Recently I was in Jiuzhaigou, Sichuan, China and I took this p&s with me for snap shots. I took quite a lot of snap shots with this p&s, but I was not that impressed with the look of the pictures on the lcd screen; until I uploaded them all to the computer and only then I realised that the p&s still takes bloody good pictures though.
The following three pictures are the beautiful scenes of Jiuzhaigou, Sichuan, China taken with Nikon Coolpix S1:-

These three pictures were taken in Jiuzhaigou, Sichuan, China. They are all located in the Five-colored Lake (五花海), also called Peacock Lake, is 5 meters deep, with an area of 90,000 square meters and at an elevation of 2,472 meters. Its water at different depths covers a color spectrum from pale blue through aquamarine to emerald green. Geologists attribute the phenomenon to mineral concentration. These three views are just one of the views crowned as a wonder of JiuZhaiGou, China.
The rest of the pictures of Jiuzhaigou taken with Nikon Coolpix Si and other DSLR can be view here.

Travel to HuangLong(1)
These photos were taken in October, 2006 while I was there for holiday; these photos will be in three parts and this one is the first part.
A brief history of HuangLong in China:-
Huanglong (Simplified Chinese: 黄龙; Traditional Chinese: 黃龍; pinyin: Huánglóng) is a scenic and historic interest area in Songpan County in the northwest part of Sichuan, China. It is located in the southern part of the Minshan mountain range, 150 km north-northwest of the capital Chengdu. This area is known for its colorful pools formed by calcite deposits, especially in Huanglonggou (Yellow Dragon Gully), as well as diverse forest ecosystems, snow-capped peaks, waterfalls and hot springs. Huanglong is also home to many endangered species including the Giant Panda and the Sichuan golden snub-nosed monkey. Huanglong was declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 1992.
This mountainous landscape is famed for its colorful pools, snow-capped mountains, deep forests, waterfalls and diversified cultures.
Covering about 700 sq. km in the northwest part of Sichuan province, the Huanglong valley is lined with snow-capped peaks which signify the easternmost of all China’s glaciers. In addition to its mountain landscape, diverse forest ecosystems can be found, as well as spectacular limestone formations, waterfalls and hot springs. The area is also home to many endangered animals, including the giant panda and the Sichuan golden snub-nosed monkey.
